These pictures were taken at about 08:00 on 27 Feb. There was a lot of spindrift about so the tops of the drifts are sometimes hard to see. The pole in some of the pictures is 130cm long.

Lunchtime update: our farmer neighbour has managed to get the private road ploughed, and kindly did our drive as well, but gave up when he saw the drifts on the road beyond. It will need digging out.

Evening update: we went to look at the top road to see if any digging had started. Some had, but the drifts had also grown during the day so it looks as though we won't get out tomorrow.
